   MEMBERSHIP

Why Join

As an AMLA member, you will add value to your company through the many benefits provided. Just knowing that there is a network of professionals to interact with when in need of advice, support, or best-practice guidance is invaluable!

AMLA will help you stay current on emerging issues and regulatory changes.

Financial Institutions have Bank Secrecy Act responsibilities and have been called to serve as “gatekeepers” to the financial system. This is a difficult task and requires readily available up to date information and resources. AMLA was founded to assist in meeting those needs and other BSA/AML regulatory challenges that occur within the industry. This is accomplished by sharing among peers and partnering with other industry related financial institutions, regulators, government, law enforcement, investigative agencies, and industry consultants.

AMLA will promote awareness, dialogue, and information sharing to aid in the fight against money laundering and other financial crimes affecting the financial system.

AMLA will advocate for the profession.

Benefits of Joining

Each meeting consists of an educational training presentation by an expert in the field of BSA/AML or other financial crimes. You will be provided with an educational training certificate and attendance sheet to document your BSA/AML compliance training. Immediately following the speaker presentation we have an open discussion providing an opportunity to interact and share information and/or concerns with your peers.

Your membership will provide you with:

  • Audio Conferencing: Available for those unable to attend in person.
  • Networking: Opportunity to network with other BSA/AML Professionals.
  • Professional Development: Continuing education credits for those holding a certification through the Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB).
  • Education/Training: Obtain six educational training certificates per year to document your BSA/AML regulatory compliance training.
  • Interaction/Dialogue: Website Forum available for questions and answers among peers.
  • Knowledge: Stay current on the latest scams and regulatory issues.
  • Partnership: Partner with compliance professionals, regulators, government, law enforcement, and financial industry consultants.
  • Vision: AMLA will serve as an advocate for the BSA/AML profession.
