The AMLA is a Non-Profit Organization, formed under IRS Section 501(c)(6) Professional Trade Association, that promotes and advances awareness of financial crimes and laws; provides education and resources to safeguard the financial system from illicit actors and corrosion; and acts as a conduit between government, law enforcement and professionals charged with reporting and following the money flow.
Ms. Meile offers over 26 years of financial services experience and assists the industry with compliance risk management, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorist Financing compliance, consulting and specialized training. She has a successful history of improving compliance programs and posture ratings for financial institutions.
Ms. Meile also utilizes the AMLA platform to advocate for the industry. She founded and established national chapter locations in an effort to build relationships with financial industry leaders, with the goal of reaching beyond borders and building up communities.
Ms. Meiles' uncompromising approach on BSA/AML subject matters, and other various regulations surrounding the field of Bank Secrecy Compliance, bridges the gap between law enforcement, financial sector and others. She partners with federal and state law enforcement, government organizations, regulatory agencies, and others to help aid in the nation’s overall fight against financial crimes.
Ms. Meile teaches the AMLA Certified Bank Secrecy Officer (CBO I and II) professional designation courses. The courses were developed out of her passion for the current and next generation of financial watchers that are charged with identifying and reporting suspicious activity.
Ms. Meile has been a speaker at national and regional conferences and currently holds the professional designation of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.
